High School Principal’s Welcome
Welcome to the Candor Junior/Senior High School website. As an alumni (Class of 1988), parent, community member, and administrator, I am committed to meeting the district goals of providing distinctive academic achievement for all students in a positive learning environment. We offer high quality college and career readiness opportunities within our course offerings, and we strive to develop lessons which incorporate 21st century skill and meet our district exit outcomes. These experiences will build a foundation for successful college and career opportunities in the future. The administration, faculty/staff, and students are encouraged to develop and “Attitude of Excellence.” Using a growth mindset, teachers have been inspired to develop interesting and engaging lessons, and students have been challenged to raise their expectations in their quality of work. I am excited with the instructional and career exploration opportunities we are providing our students, and look forward to watching them meet their personal and professional goals.
For a truly successful educational experience, the school, parents, and students must be equal stakeholders in the child’s education. I would ask parents to stay engaged in the education of your child. Communicate with the school if you have any questions or concerns. You can find teacher and administrator emails on this website, as well as phone numbers to the high school office, guidance office and attendance desk.
I’m looking forward to another positive and productive school year!
